PANAJI: Panaji MLA and Minister Babush Monserrate has expressed strong confidence ahead of the upcoming Corporation of the City of Panaji (CCP) elections, stating that his panel is fully prepared for the contest.
Speaking about the polls, Monserrate said the selection of candidates is underway and that names will be announced after consultations with party leadership. He revealed that half of the candidates will be new entrants and emphasized that the entire panel will comprise young faces.
Responding to the panel announced by Utpal Parrikar, Monserrate said Parrikar had also fielded a panel in the previous CCP elections. He maintained that the electoral process is open to all and that anyone is free to contest.
Projecting optimism about the outcome, Monserrate said he is confident that all 30 candidates from his panel will emerge victorious in the civic body elections.
