PORVORIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that the government has not stopped the Balrath bus scheme.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant was addressing the media after chairing the cabinet meeting.
“We have not stopped the Balrath bus scheme, the Balrath scheme will continue, it’s just that we are not going to provide them additional buses. We are giving them funds for the birth,” said Sawant.
He further said that the government is working on replacing the existing buses whose validity is expired.
“We give money for maintenance and it should be spent for the same by the management, they’re responsible for the maintenance of the buses,” he added.
CM also said that the government now pays them more than 4.25 lakhs and they get money 6 months in advance if all the details are provided properly.
“If the salaries of drivers and cleaners are not getting salaries on time then it’s the fault of management and not the government,” CM added.
