PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant today said that the Goa Police is on the right track in terms of investigation into the Banastari fatal accident case.
“Goa Police is on the right track in terms of an investigation into the Banastari fatal accident case; I am saying do not believe in rumours and keep faith in investigation done by police,’ said Sawant.
He further said that the police are actively engaged in a comprehensive investigation into the case.
“I ensure that those responsible for the incident will face legal consequences; the culpable individuals will be apprehended and held accountable.
According to the medical report, the driver of the vehicle, identified as Paresh A Sinai Sawardekar, was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident.
The analysis of his blood sample revealed an alarming alcohol content of 94mg, significantly surpassing the legally permissible limit of 30mg per 100 ml of blood.
