PANAJI: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant reiterated that the proposed bandhara project at Mirabag will not be taken up and appealed to protesters to call off their agitation.
Sawant stated that the government has no plans to proceed with the project and assured residents that their concerns have been taken into consideration.
He emphasised that his verbal assurance should be treated as equally binding as a written commitment.
The Chief Minister further said he would take full responsibility if the project is ever pursued in the future, seeking to allay fears among villagers and activists opposing the proposal.
