VASCO: Vasco Railway Police have registered a theft case after a tourist from Bangladesh reported that his mobile phone was stolen while travelling on the Amravati Express.
According to police, complainant Goutom Kumar Sarkar, a resident of Bogura, Bangladesh, stated that the incident occurred on March 19 at around 9:00 am in the running train near Kulem Railway Station. He was travelling with his wife from Madgaon to Shalimar when an unknown accused allegedly stole his mobile phone.
The stolen mobile phone is valued at approximately ₹24,000.
Police have registered a case against unknown accused, and further investigation is being carried out by PSI Krishna Talpi of Vasco Railway Police Station.
