MANDREM: Mandrem Police have arrested a Bangladeshi national for illegally entering and staying in India without valid travel documents.
As per Mandrem Police Station Crime No. 117/2025, an offence under Sections 21 and 23(a) of the Immigration and Foreigner Act, 2025 was registered on December 27, 2025, at 6.01 pm on the complaint of PSI Pratik Garudi (31), attached to Mandrem Police Station.
Police stated that at around 5.35 pm on December 27, 2025, at the parking area of Arambol, Pernem, the accused, identified as Ms. Sarmin Bibi (32), wife of Janatoor Shiddar and a native of Bangladesh, was found to have illegally entered India and was residing in Goa without possessing valid travel documents such as a passport or visa.
The accused was arrested at 6.11 pm after following all Supreme Court guidelines. Further investigation is in progress.
