Mapusa: Sunburn 2023 is being organised at Vagator from 28th December to 30th December. Due to the ‘Sunburn’ festival, Goa’s civility is being affected, also social health is deteriorating.
‘EDM’ festivals like ‘Sunburn’ are addicting the younger generation and glorifying Western perversity. Organizing ‘Sunburn’ is cultural treason. Festivals like ‘EDM’ and ‘Sunburn’ which lead the youth to drugs and make them addicted should not be allowed in Goa. The Hindu Rashtra-Jagruti demonstration organised by the Hindu Janajagruti Samiti at Mapusa demanded that ‘EDM’ festivals like ‘Sunburn’ should be banished from Goa forever and the cultural identity of Goa be preserved. It is a part of Nationwide Hindu Rashtra-Jagruti Movement.
The demonstration started with a Shlok of Lord Ganesha. Initially, the purpose of the demonstration was explained on behalf of the Hindu Rashtra-Jagruti Movement. Thereafter, the speakers Mrs. Shubha Sawant of Sanatan Sanstha and Mrs. Rajshree Gadekar of Ranaragini addressed the movement. The Constitution of India is secular.
Therefore, all the systems like industries, communication, administrative system etc. in India are bound to be ‘secular’; but unfortunately this is not happening at present. Currently there is a boom in ‘Halal certified’ products in India. In this way, trading of food, products, goods etc. on religious basis is an alarming. Private Islamic organizations are illegally conducting Halal certification despite obtaining certification from the Central Government’s Food Safety and Standards Authority (FSSAI) and the State Government’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA). A ban should be imposed on ‘Halal certification’ which is forced on Hindu traders and creates religious discrimination. At the end of the movement, North Goa Coordinator of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti, Mr. Govind Chodankar passed the resolution. Mr. Yuvraj Gaokar compered the event.
