QUEPEM: The allegations made by Quepem MLA Altone D’Costa are totally baseless and hold no truth, says Former Deputy Chief Minister and MLA Babu Kavalekar.
Former Quepem MLA Babu Kavlekar questioned how he could stop the construction of a new Panchayat House building in Betul?
Kavalekar said in a press conference held at Quepem that they should stop doing what they are doing and should show why they have been elected.
Betul Sarpanch Sebi Fernandes, Panch members Clement Fernandes, Tato Kerkar, Akanksha Naik and Gurudas Velip were present.
“The Chief Minister had given an explanation as to why the proposal of this panchayat was stalled. D’Costa should keep in mind that the development that has taken place in the last 20 years and the works that have been done have not fallen from the sky,” he said.
New buildings of Health Center, Parallel Bridge over Quepem Kushavati River, Police Station at Quepem, well equipped Quepem Municipal Market Project, Market Project at Tilamol, Municipal Building, Barcem, Morpirla, Bandurde Water problem in rural areas and underground power lines were completed.
“I’ve got a lot more work to do. In my twenty years of politics, I have never done such dirty politics or accused the former MLAs or tried to bring them down. What I have done in these twenty years, I have done for the people,” said Kavlekar.
