Mumbai: Sponsoring the Indian cricket team will now cost more as the BCCI has raised the reserve price for Team India’s lead sponsorship following Dream11’s exit.
According to a Cricbuzz report, the new base price is ₹3.5 crore per bilateral match and ₹1.5 crore for multilateral fixtures (ICC/ACC events), up from ₹3.17 crore and ₹1.12 crore, respectively. This move could push sponsorship revenues beyond ₹400 crore.
The BCCI has invited bids through an Expression of Interest (IEOI) process. Interested bidders must purchase the IEOI documents by September 12 and submit bids by September 16. The board clarified that purchasing the IEOI does not guarantee eligibility and reserves the right to amend or cancel the process.
