Valpoi: MLA Dr. Deviya Rane, has announced that beautification work of the revered Bhumika Devi Temple will begin shortly, with the inauguration scheduled in the coming days. She emphasized that temples are not only places of worship but also serve as centers of cultural and traditional unity, urging devotees to maintain harmony and cooperate in the temple’s development.
Dr. Rane was speaking at a Ganesh Chaturthi food grains distribution program organized at Morle Hall, where all Ganesh devotees from Parye Panchayat were provided with essential supplies. She also highlighted her efforts in improving primary school infrastructure across the constituency, stressing that strong educational foundations at the primary level ensure better futures for children.
“The unity of citizens is vital for the overall development of our villages. We must remain cautious of divisive elements and continue to work together for progress,” she said.
The event was attended by Honda ZP member Sagun Wadkar, Sarpanch of Parye Deepa Naik, Deputy Sarpanch Atmaram Shetye, Panch members Datta Rane, Vidisha Gosavi, Amisha Gaonkar, Umesh Rane, Hemant Rane, and social activist Vinod Shinde, among others. Bhironda Sarpanch Udaysingh Rane and journalist Uday Sawant were also present.
Sarpanch Deepa Naik, in her welcome speech, noted that many facilities have already been created in the constituency and assured cooperation in ensuring welfare schemes reach every household. The program concluded with the distribution of food grains to devotees.
