AGACAIM: An interstate bus on the Bengaluru-Goa route overturned at Agassaim. 10 passengers were involved in the accident.
As per information from the passengers, the bus driver is said to have dozed off leading to an accident. The accident happened at the newly built flyover.
The injured have been admitted to Goa Medical College in Bambolim for treatment. This bus (KA 01 AJ 2462) belongs to Karnataka and was coming from Bangalore to Goa.
Due to the overturning of the bus, there was oil spillage on the road.
Sources have also said that there was no first aid kit on the bus. As per the information, there were 20 passengers on the bus at the time of the incident.
Panic spread among the passengers as the bus overturned suddenly. With the help of each other and passing motorists, passengers were helped to get out of the bus.
There was not much traffic on this road when the accident happened and also no traffic jam was witnessed due to the accident.
Meanwhile, the bus has been removed from the spot with the help of a towing crane.
