COLLEM: Abdul Rafique, a 62-year-old Bengaluru visitor, vanished on Thursday afternoon while travelling to Dudhsagar in a jeep. Rafique and his wife were visiting the well-known Dudhsagar waterfalls in Goa when the event happened.
Around 1:30 PM, the jeep they were riding in broke down next to a river in the thick jungle. At this point, Rafique’s wife and other travellers realised he was absent. They immediately searched the neighbourhood, but Rafique was nowhere to be found.
His fellow travellers quickly alerted the Collem police, who then began a thorough search of the region after they were unable to locate him. But as of right now, Rafique is nowhere to be found.
Rafique and his spouse had scheduled a visit to Dudhsagar as part of their itinerary while they were lodging at a hotel in Varca, Goa. Police have opened a missing person’s case, and search operations for Rafique are scheduled to resume on Friday.
Although the exact cause of Rafique’s disappearance is still unknown, the authorities are actively looking for information concerning his location.
