PANJIM: Bhagat Singh Koshyari today was sworn in as Goa Governor at Raj Bhavan. Koshyari has been given additional charge to his own duties as Governor of Maharashtra.
Chief Justice of the Bombay High Court administered the oath of office to Bhagat Singh Koshyari at the Raj Bhavan. Koshyari took the oath of office in Konkani.
Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said that it was a matter of pride for Goans, as the Governor took oath in Konkani.
Koshyari to discharge the functions of the Governor of Goa in addition to his own duties as Governor of Maharashtra.
Satya Pal Malik, Governor of Goa transferred and appointed as Governor of Meghalaya.
Satya Pal Malik will be replacing Tathagata Roy who completed his five-year tenure by serving as Tripura Governor for three years and the remaining in Meghalaya
