CANACONA – Following large scale corruption in laying of hot-mix on roads, a vigilante Congress General Secretary Janardhan Bhandari asked the PWD supervisor to verify the correct gauge level of hot mixing carpet work Canacona-Margao NH-66 road in the presence of all to prevent misuse of public money on Sunday.
It may be recalled that Janardhan Bhandari, with his supporter activists, has been almost keeping a close tap on various developmental works being carried out, more importantly being the road repair and surfacing works, and had even got the works suspended or re-taken up for failures to execute the works as per given standards.
After successfully fighting with PWD authorities for repair and hot-mixing work of Canacona-Margao N’, says his supporting activist Vikas Bhagat. ‘
On Sunday, Bhandari personally monitored the hot-mixing work on Canacona-Margao NH; Bhandari asked the PWD engineer supervising the works to check the gauge of hot-mixing work in front of him to check the quality and standard of the profession.
Many of the road repairs work in Canacona, on the highway as well as internal roads, came for scrutiny of Bhandari, with activists not lagging behind but even got questioned the type and frequent repairs the two-year-old newly built Manohar Parrikar Canacona Bypass Road is being subjected to and the sub-standard quality of its road and bridges works
