New Delhi: Bhatti SC stormed into the next round of the Silver Jubilee Cup 2025 9-a-side Interward Football Tournament, organized by the Sporting Club of Virabhat, with a commanding 5-0 victory over Corjem YC at the St Alex Church ground in Curtorim.
The match kicked off with Bhatti SC asserting dominance early on. Ralf Dias opened the scoring in the 10th minute, capitalizing on a precise pass from Macroy Peixoto to give his side a 1-0 lead. The momentum continued as Aaron Dias netted two quick goals in the 15th and 20th minutes, extending the lead to 3-0 by halftime.
In the second half, Bhatti SC maintained their pressure, with Shavil Peixoto finding the net in the 40th minute, followed by a strike from Peter Barreto in the 45th, sealing a clinical 5-0 win.
Aaron Dias, whose brace played a crucial role in Bhatti’s dominance, was deservedly named Man of the Match, with the award presented by Lewan Castanha, a player from Mohun Bagan.
Bhatti SC’s all-round performance has firmly established them as strong contenders in the tournament.
