BICHOLIM: In a commendable eco-friendly initiative, students and teachers of the Government Primary School in Bicholim, Goa, organized a paper bag distribution drive during the Lairai Jatra.
With the aim of promoting a “Zero Plastic” environment and spreading awareness about the harmful effects of plastic, the school team distributed handmade paper bags to flower vendors, food stalls, and sweet sellers at the fair.
The young students took the lead in encouraging vendors and visitors to say no to plastic and adopt eco-friendly alternatives, reinforcing the message of environmental conservation and responsible festivity.
