BICHOLIM: The proposed delimitation of wards in Bicholim Municipal Council has triggered concern among residents ahead of the upcoming municipal elections, with changes affecting 11 of the 14 wards.
Citizens from nine wards have submitted objections to the authorities and met the Sub-Divisional Officer, who recorded their grievances regarding the proposed boundaries.
Residents expressed dissatisfaction over the reorganisation, stating that the changes could impact representation and local administrative convenience. The issue has led to discussions across the town as stakeholders seek revisions to the proposal.
Officials said the final ward delimitation will be announced after reviewing the objections and suggestions received from the public.
