NEW DELHI: India suffered a setback ahead of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 as wicketkeeper-batter Yastika Bhatia was ruled out with a left knee injury sustained during the preparatory camp in Vizag.
The BCCI has named Uma Chetry as her replacement for both the upcoming ODI series against Australia and the World Cup. While Yastika has been in strong form recently for India A, she last played for the senior team in October.
Uma, yet to make her ODI debut, has represented India in seven T20Is. She will now join the World Cup squad led by Harmanpreet Kaur.
