PANAJI: In view of COVID-19 Pandemic, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said that no examinations under the purview of Goa University shall be held in physical mode in order to ensure the safety of the students.
CM Sawant said that the decision was taken after discussion with concerned officials and Goa University.
“It has been decided that no examinations under the purview of Goa University shall be held in physical mode in order to ensure the safety of the students,” said CM Sawant
He further said that he had received requests from various student organisations and considering the present COVID19 pandemic situation in the state.
The students had stated that after consultation with the educationists, senior professors and other stakeholders of education, had submitted Goa University a proposal which constituted that the examination should be conducted online but 30 per cent of total marks should be based on the previous semester examination and 20 per cent marks will be on the internal tests.
For the remaining 50 per cent marks an online test must be conducted for the Final Year Students.
