Panaji: Gujarat began the day with a 2-1 victory over Puducherry at the Santacruz Football Ground in the All India Civil Services Football Tournament. Madhu Rathaya and Lawrence Gamit scored for Gujarat. Ramchandran reduced the deficit for Puducherry.
Uttarakhand delivered the most dominant performance at the Santacruz venue with a 6-2 win over RSB Indore. Sushil Lajpal led the charge with five goals and Ravinder Bhandari added one.
RSB Ahmedabad beat Haryana 4-1 on the third day of the competition. Shashank Mamgain scored a hat trick and Akshay Mall added another. Aman scored for Haryana.
At the Athletic Stadium in Bambolim, RSB Cochin registered a 4-0 win over RSB Srinagar from Jammu and Kashmir. Ashrafuddin, Saurav JP, Burjar P and Kanan R scored one goal each.
RSB Mumbai overwhelmed Odisha 9-0 in the next match at Bambolim. Jang Bahadur Singh struck five goals, Sanket Salokhe scored three and Ashrafali Makadar netted one.
In the final match of the day, RSB Chennai defeated Kerala 3-1. Kerala held a 1-0 lead at halftime. Chennai regained control after the break and scored three quick goals to seal the result.
