MARGAO: A 36-year-old man from Bihar was found dead in an apparent case of suicide at Commarbhat, Sao Jose De Areal, in the early hours of Wednesday.
According to the police, at around 12:20 am on October 22, 2025, a call was received from Valant Fernandes informing that a man had reportedly committed suicide at Sao Jose De Areal. Upon visiting the site, police found a locked room, which was forcibly opened, revealing the body of Prakash Kumar Sah (36) hanging from the ceiling with a jute rope used as a ligature.
Police conducted the scene and inquest panchanamas, and the body was sent to South Goa District Hospital, Margao, for medico-legal examination.
Further inquiry is underway under PSI Gaurav Naik of Maina-Curtorim Police Station.
