BETALBATIM: Police have arrested a man from Madhya Pradesh in connection with the theft of a motorcycle from a hotel parking lot in Betalbatim.
According to police, the complaint was lodged by Ram Naresh Yadav (48), resident of Panzorconi, Cuncolim, who reported that his Honda Shine 125 (Reg. No. GA08AX6216), worth about ₹1.09 lakh, was stolen on September 29, 2025, between 8:35 am and 9:00 am. The motorcycle had been parked near JasmInn Hotel, Nagvaddo, Betalbatim, Salcete.
Based on the complaint, police registered an offence under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) 2023.
During the course of investigation, the accused, Naren Sharma (33), son of Rajendra Sharma, resident of Gulapura, Madhya Pradesh, was apprehended and placed under arrest. Police said the stolen motorcycle has been recovered from him.
Further investigation is underway.
