MARGAO: The Maina Curtorim police burst a major bike theft racket arresting one 21 year old Shahabuddin Sheikh, resident of Curchorem alongwith seven bikes worth over Rs 6 lakhs.
On 06/05/2021 at 22:55 hrs Maina Curtorim PS Cr. No. 28/2021 u/Sec 379 IPC stands registered upon the complainant of Shri. Deepak S/o Kantilal Pandya, age-52 yrs, occ- Business R/o H. No-B-10 Swapni Nagari, Fatorda, Margao Salcete Goa to the effect that on 05/05/2021 at 19:30 hrs to 10:00 hrs of 06/05/2021 at outside H. No. 603, Mazilwado Raia Salcete Goa unknown accused person/s stole away the Bajaj Pulsar 200 Pearl Metallic White bearing Registration number GA-08-AN-9271 which belongs to the complainant W/Rs. 75,000/- approx which was parked by the complainant at outside H. No. 603, Mazilwado Raia Salcete Goa,
During the course of investigation received information from the reliable and specific information that the said theft is committed by the accused Shahabuddin S/o Dhavalsab Shaikh.
As the said accused is a habitual bike lifter and involved in various crimes in Goa, a trap was laid under the directions of PI Maina Curtorim Police Station Shivram M. Vaingankar, and a search was conducted by PSI Prashant S. Bhagat led team and accordingly accused Shahabuddin S/o Dhavalsab Shaikh, age 21 yrs, Occ-unemployed R/o Patrawada, Kakumoddi, Xeldem, Curchorem, South Goa was caught red handed along with stolen Vehicle Bajaj Pulsar 200 GA-08-AN-9271 involved in above crime and placed under arrest.
Further during the course of investigation 07 more two wheeler vehicles total worth Rs. 6,50,000/- approx were recovered from the accused persons as per his discloser.
Further investigation in Progress under the guidance of PI Shivram M. Vaingankar, Harish Madkaikar, SDPO Margao, and. Shobhit Saxena IPS, SP South Margao.
