VASCO: Vasco Police have registered an offence against a motorcyclist for rash and negligent driving following an accident reported near Mohan Garage at Chicalim.
According to police, the case was registered on a state complaint filed by HC-4824 Ashish Naik of Vasco Police Station. The incident occurred on November 26, 2025, at around 7.15 pm, when the accused Deeparj Gaonkar, a resident of Vaddem, Vasco, was riding a Royal Enfield motorcycle from Chicalim Junction towards Village Panchayat Chicalim.
Police said that while negotiating a sharp curve near Mohan Garage, Chicalim, the accused allegedly drove in a rash and negligent manner and, while overtaking a Tata Winger vehicle, dashed into an Avenger scooter. Due to the impact, the riders of both vehicles fell onto the road and sustained injuries.
Further investigation in the case is in progress with HC-4824 Ashish Naik of Vasco Police Station.
