Porvorim: A tragic self-accident was reported near the Mahindra showroom at Porvorim slope, claiming the life of Vishal Kankonkar from Taleigao.
Sources say that due to ongoing flyover work, traffic was diverted, and a large lorry was passing through the main road. One lane was temporarily closed, and vehicles were directed through the other lane. However, Vishal, riding his Himalayan bike, attempted to pass through the closed road, lost control, and slipped. His bike’s rear tire skidded, causing him to suffer a fatal head injury.
Porvorim police and traffic police rushed to the scene, and the body was shifted to Asilo Hospital.
