VASCO: An accident between a bike and tanker was reported near IOC junction Vasco on Wednesday morning.
The rider of the bike was seriously injured in the accident and has been shifted to GMC for medical reference.
According to sources, the bike rider Hassan Rajesab Hajrathi, a resident of Baina was going towards Baina on his splendour bike (GA06 J 7434 ) while the tanker ( GA 06 V 9666 ) driven by Lokesh Kodak a native of Karnataka, was taking a turn near the IOC junction to move towards Sada
“The bike rider came under the wheels of the tanker which allegedly ran over the legs of the bike rider. Fortunately, the bike rider did not get crushed under the wheels of the tanker and lost his life. The bike rider was seriously injured and shifted to Chicalim Cottage Hospital from where he was referred to the GMC with leg injuries ” said the source
Vasco police have registered a case of an accident and are carrying out further investigation into the incident.
