SANCOALE: A 20-year-old student of the BITS Pilani campus at Zuarinagar was found dead by suicide, after allegedly hanging himself in the campus premises.
The deceased has been identified as Krishna Kasera, a native of Lucknow. Verna Police received a call about the incident around 10:15 am and immediately reached the site to conduct a preliminary investigation and inquest panchanama.
The body was later sent for postmortem examination.
Verna Police have registered a case of unnatural death under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). Further investigation is underway under the supervision of PI Anand Shirodkar and guidance of Mormugao DySP Gurudas Kadam.
