The Bharatiya Janata Party on Wednesday demanded explanation from Independent MLA Rohana Khaunte and Goa Forward party MLAs on their relations with accused Kapil Jhaveri, who is arrested in connection with rave party at Vagator.
Addressing a press conference in the BJP headquarters, party spokesperson Dattaprasad Naik referring to press conference by Rohan Khaunte said that that Goa’ “Pablo Escobar” has been found at Porvorim.
“We have found the Pablo Escobar of Goa as demanded by teh Porvborim MLA and we have also found that he has relations with one independent MLA and a regional party,” Naik said.
The BJP spokesperson said that the accused Kapil Jhaveri’s call records should be made public.
“We have photographs of all Goa Forward MLAs with Kapil Jhaveri and hence let the accused call records be made public. Let Goans know his relations are with which politicians,” Naik demanded.
He said that brandishing photos and fake propaganda will not help.
“The State has taken lots of positive steps and will continue in future to end this drugs business in Goia to keep Goans safe. CM is firm on ending drug menace in Goa,” he said.
He asked why such raid never happened during Congress regime.
