The Aam Aadmi Party Vice President Sandesh Telekar Dessai condemned PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral’s statement dismissing public worries about petrol price hikes, and demanded that the BJP government should explain how much subsidy they had granted for electric bikes.
Cabral, when questioned about the recent hike in fuel price had told reporters that “people should use electric bikes”.
Dessai slammed the BJP minister’s statement as “insensitive,” and said, “because his travel expenses are paid by the exchequer, he is unaware of the difficulties faced by common people. The BJP government should reveal the amount of subsidies it has provided for e-bikes”.
Dessai, speaking about the AAP government’s initiative in Delhi stated, “The AAP government in Delhi has offered subsidy of 60 crore rupees for e-bikes. Furthermore, the AAP is the first government in the world to begin providing subsidies for electric cars and bikes. Besides, the AAP is the only government that offers subsidies for e-cycles”.
All India Vice President of AAP Youth Wing and State Coordinator Siddhesh Bhagat took pot shot at Agriculture Minister Ravi Naik and PWD Minister Nilesh Cabral for their irrational statements. He stated the BJP has two great scientists. One minister proposes building dams in the state, while the other, instead of offering solutions, advises citizens to purchase e-bikes.
In response to Agriculture Minister Ravi Naik’s recent statement on exporting water to Gulf countries, Bhagat pointed out that Goa’s own Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had previously stated that the state lacked 76 MLD water. Their own minister is now discussing the possibility of exporting water to the Gulf states. Furthermore, the state has five dams, which its own ministers are incapable of maintaining. Besides from that, they were unable to save our Mhadei River, which is the state’s lifeline.
