PANAJI: The President of Goa Pradesh Congress Committee Girish Chodankar has dared Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant and state president Sadanand Shet Tanawade to make public the government jobs created and given in the last four months of post Zilla Panchayat election.
“Our Goenkars have not forgotten that BJP leadership during Zilla panchayat elections had promised to give ten thousand jobs. Now almost four months have passed to this promise and hence the Chief Minister and BJP President should tell people how many jobs are given or created.” Chodankar said while addressing a press conference in Congress House-Panaji.
He said that BJP is well known for its Jhumlas and it creates such tactics every election to attract voters. “few years ago, then chief minister Manohar Parrikar had promised in the assembly session that 50 thousand jobs will be created, now the present BJP’s chief Minister is promising ten thousand jobs. If there was a backlog of jobs, then the government should show it and the number of jobs given.” Chodankar said.
Chodankar said that Chief Minister Pramod Sawant is trying to hoodwink the youths over employment of ten thousand, for which there is no budgetary provision.
He said that youths of the state are frustrated over the unemployment issue, which is rising every passing day. “Government has even failed to create employment in the private sector.” He said.
He said that BJP will come up with more such promises and new tactics to lure voters of the municipality area. “I think youths should not fall prey to such tactics of BJP.” He said.
