* Complaint filed against LoP Michael Lobo and his wife Delilah for illegal landfilling at Parra

PANAJI: North Goa Planning and Development Authority (NGPDA ) has registered an F.I.R. under Section 17-B of the Town & Country Planning Act against International Aircon Pvt. Ltd for illegal cutting of hill.
In another case, NGPDA has written to Mapusa Police to file FIR against Congress MLAs Michael Lobo and his wife Delilah for illegal landfilling at Parra.
In the first case, the authority had granted development permission under Section 44 vide Ref. No.NGPDA/ARP/44/260/1069/2021 dated 28-10-2021 for construction of Commercial Block 1 and 2 (Hotel project) and proposed residential villas (1 to 18 numbers) in Survey No.157/1-A of Arpora village to International Aircon Pvt. Ltd. (IAPL).
It is noticed that International Aircon Pvt. Ltd. has violated Condition No.11 laid down in the said order Le. “To take prior permission of the Chief Town Planner under Section 17-A of Town & Country Planning Act before the commencement of the work in case of any cutting of any sloping land.”
The said condition has not been adhered to by International Aircon Pvt. Ltd. on site and noticed that hill cutting had been carried out for 100.00 mts. Width of 30.00 mts. And the height of approximately 4.00 to 5.00 mts. For the construction of Block 2 and excavation for 6.00 mts. Road width cutting around 2.00 to 3.00 mts. Approximately on the upper side of the road, which goes up to the top end in a zig-zag manner in the property of Hotel Park Regis at Arpora.
Meanwhile, in the Parra case, there had been a violation of the section 17A & 17B of the TCP Act, 1974, and an FIR was filed against Michael Lobo and his wife Delilah Lobo for Landfilling and Tree cutting in Parra.
Reacting to the same, TCP Minister Vishwajit Rane said that the Congress Party’s vision for the destruction of the state of Goa would never be a reality.
