PANAJI: “Goa Revolution Day is one of the most significant days in the history of Goa, which ignited the flame of freedom in Goans. It is sad and disgusting that BJP Government headed by Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant has made the historic event Colourless,” charged Congress Media Cell Chairman Amarnath Panjikar.
Reacting to the Black & White Invitation sent to Freedom Fighters & others as well as Black & White advertisements released in a few papers, Amarnath Panjikar said that publicity obsessed BJP Government has money to spend on G20 advertisements with colour photos of Prime Minister Narendra Modi & CM Sawant, but has no funds to glorify Goa Revolution Day & Freedom Fighters.
Black & White Invitation Cards & Advertisements in a few Newspapers. No photos of Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia & Dr. Juliao Menezes. Self Glorification with photos of Governor P S Sreedharan Pillai & Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant. This is how BJP Government treats Goa Revolution Day. Shame, stated Amarnath Panjikar.
Dictator Narendra Modi now runs BJP. They are promoting dictatorship all over. Does the Chief Minister want to “Wipe Out” Goa Revolution Day because it was against the dictatorial Salazar Regime? Questioned Amarnath Panjikar.
Historical events should be celebrated colourfully. Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant should come out of his self-glorification obsession and read books on Goa Revolution Day. It will help him to know about Goa Revolution Movement, said Amarnath Panjikar.
