PANAJI: National General Secretary Vinod Tawde called the Congress party a confused lot who have no issues to fight this election.
“On the one hand, Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge and Rahul Gandhi are instilling fear in the minds of the people that the BJP needs more than 400 seats to change the Constitution. Then their own Congress leaders say that they will amend the Constitution with Rahul Gandhi’s permission to give special status to Goa,” he said.
Further, he said, Congress says it is preparing to implement an inheritance tax to acquire a large share of the family head’s wealth, while on the other hand, the Modi government is implementing concrete schemes and depositing the money directly into the accounts of the beneficiaries.
“People should decide whether they want to hand over the reins of the country to a leaderless INDI Alliance or make a solid leader who dreams of a strong, powerful, developed India as its Prime Minister,” said BJP’s National General Secretary Shri. Vinod Tawade.
He was speaking at a press conference held at Panjim. Tawade was accompanied by BJP state general secretary Adv. Narendra Sawaikar and spokesperson Shri. Giriraj Pai Vernekar.
“The Congress had worked to defeat the Architect of the Indian Constitution Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar from the Bhandara constituency,” he pointed out adding the BJP released its manifesto on April 14, Ambedkar Jayanti, by keeping the sacred copy of the Constitution in front.
He said the inheritance tax is being imposed because Congress is eyeing the property and money of our elders.
“The former prime minister Dr. Manmohan Singh had already hinted who would benefit from such money. This gives us an idea of what the Congress can do. On the other hand, the BJP government has provided financial assistance to people through various schemes like Rs 5 lakh worth of health insurance under Ayushman Bharat, water to 100 per cent houses through Jal Jeevan Mission, start-ups, 10 lakh LED bulbs through PM Ujjwala Yojana, Matru Vandana, Swachh Bharat, Rs 6,000 under Kisan Samman Yojana among others,” said Tawade.
The opposition is confused because there are no issues against Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Rahul Gandhi is not reacting to the statement made by the Goa candidate on the Constitution because it is the policy of the Congress, Tawade said.
As of today, the BJP is expected to win significant seats in the southern states of Tamil Nadu and Kerala. If we win both the seats in Goa, it will be attributed not only to the national and local leadership but also to every booth karyakarta, he concluded.
