PANAJI: BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade today said that his party will win the Ponda and Sankhali Municipal Elections with a thumping majority.
“BJP karyakartas are reaching out to voters at ground zero under various outreach programs. BJP will win Ponda & Sankhali Municipal Elections with a thumping majority,” said Tanavade.
He further said that the people of Ponda and Sankhali will choose stability and development against fake promises and unstable leadership.
The voting for the two councils will take place on May 5, and the counting and declaration of results will be on May 7, according to state election commissioner W V Ramanamurthy, who announced the polls at a press conference on Saturday.
The term of the existing council of Ponda and Sanquelim Municipality expires on May 20th.
16,305 voters are eligible to vote in Ponda, and 8,640 are eligible to vote in Sanquelim.
