VASCO: A decomposed body of an unidentified male was discovered floating in the sea near Hansa Beach, Bogmalo.
The incident was reported by Rohit Kumar, LPM, INS Hansa. Upon receiving the information, Vasco Police Station conducted an enquiry at INHS Hansa, Dabolim-Goa.
The body was found in a decomposed state on the seashore. Officials promptly carried out an inquest panchanama, and the deceased’s body has been preserved at the South Goa District Hospital, Margao for identification and further medico-legal procedures.
The investigation is ongoing as authorities work to identify the deceased and determine the circumstances leading to the incident.
Vasco police have registered a case of unnatural death under section 194 of BNSS and PSI Prisley Carvalho is carrying out a further investigation under the supervision of PI Kapil Nayak and the guidance of Mormugao DySP Salim Shaikh
