A body of a beggar found on Wednesday near cine Lata Margao has tested positive for COVID19 and has sent the entire locality in a tizzy.
Leader of Opposition Digamabar Kamat has asked the authorities to round-up all beggars around Margao to stop the spread of virus.
“I have spoken to South Goa Collector to take immediate action to Round-up all Beggars in and around Margao to control further spread of #Covid,” he said.
Kamat has also asked Member Secretary to remove all the illegal shelters on SGPDA Ground.
“The Government of Goa must re-open Shelter Homes & accommodate the beggars,” Kamat said.
