Quepem: The body of a 31-year-old male was found lying near a coconut farm at Tiloi Balli, Fatorpa, Quepem, on February 2, 2026, police said.
According to police, at around 10.04 am, a call was received from PCR Margao after 108 ambulance staff informed that a male person was found lying near Deeajay coconut farm at Tiloi Balli. Police personnel immediately visited the spot and found a dead body of a male lying on the ground.
During enquiry, the deceased was identified as Pramod Khalkho (31), a resident of Tiloi, Fatorpa Balli, Quepem, originally from Jharkhand. Further enquiry with the farm manager revealed that the deceased was an alcoholic and had been working as a labourer at the coconut farm for the past three years.
Police conducted the scene of occurrence panchanama and inquest under unnatural death (UD) proceedings. The body has been preserved at the South Goa District Hospital morgue for further medico-legal formalities.
Further enquiry in the case is being carried out by PSI Aditya Sawant of Cuncolim Police Station.
