PANAJI: A bomb threat reported at the Passport Bhavan building near the GSIDC complex at Patto on Monday morning was later confirmed to be a hoax by police officials.
According to sources, a bomb threat call was received at around 10:39 am, triggering immediate security measures. Fire personnel from the Panaji Fire Station, along with police and other emergency authorities, rushed to the spot following the alert.
The building was thoroughly searched by security agencies. After an extensive inspection of the premises, officials confirmed that no suspicious items were found and declared the area safe.
Normalcy was restored shortly after the clearance. Further details regarding the source of the hoax call and investigation into the matter are awaited.
