New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday delivered a forceful message to Pakistan’s government and military, declaring that they must choose between peace and continued provocation through terrorism. Addressing a public rally in Bhuj, Gujarat, PM Modi said, “If you want peace, eat your roti — otherwise, my bullet is always ready.”
His remarks come days after India launched Operation Sindoor, a cross-border military response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack. Modi praised the Indian armed forces for their swift and decisive action in dismantling terror infrastructure across the border, targeting camps operated by Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM), and Hizbul Mujahideen (HM).
“We waited for 15 days, expecting Pakistan to take action against the Pahalgam terrorists. When they didn’t, I gave our forces full freedom. We struck with precision and turned their terror camps into dust,” Modi said.
Highlighting the message behind Operation Sindoor, Modi said the operation was not just a military move but a signal to the world that India will not tolerate terrorism. “The name ‘Sindoor’ comes from the blessings of our mothers and sisters who prayed for the nation’s safety. This was a mission to wipe out terror,” he added.
The Prime Minister accused both the Pakistani government and military of being complicit in promoting terrorism, stating, “For Pakistan, terrorism has become a form of tourism. But India follows a zero-tolerance policy.”
He also addressed the people of Pakistan, especially the youth, urging them to reject extremism and choose peace. “If Pakistan’s youth want a better future, they must rise against this culture of violence. Choose peace, choose life — or face our bullets,” he warned.
Modi further claimed that the Indian retaliation had a severe impact on Pakistan’s military infrastructure. “They dared to spill Indian blood in Gujarat’s Kutch region. We retaliated with double the intensity. Their air bases are still in the ICU,” he said, drawing loud cheers from the crowd.
He asserted that the Pakistani side, overwhelmed by India’s response, ultimately sought a ceasefire. “Pakistan was shivering. They raised the white flag because they had no other choice,” he said.
The Prime Minister concluded by emphasizing India’s resolve to crush terrorism and uphold national security, warning that any future provocations would be met with an even stronger response.
