VASCO: Vasco Police have registered an offence against a builder following allegations of discharging untreated sewage into a residential area at Chicalim.
According to police, the complaint was filed by Lucas Fernandes, Secretary of Prabhu Violetta society, Chicalim. He alleged that the accused, Amith Prabhu, associated with Prabhu Realtors, deliberately and continuously released untreated sewage from a sewage treatment plant into open drains and the garden परिसर of the society.
The discharge reportedly created a public nuisance and posed health risks, with several residents complaining of illnesses such as diarrhoea.
Police have taken cognisance of the matter, and further investigation is being carried out by PSI Nikhil Dessai of Vasco Police Station.
