Canacona: A road accident involving a Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle and a cyclist was reported opposite the Canacona Police Station on December 17, 2025, at around 1.15 pm.
According to a complaint filed by HC 5732 Dhananjay Desai of Canacona Police Station, the rider of a Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycle, identified as Marc Goes, a resident of Vadamol, Shristhal, Canacona, was allegedly riding in a rash and negligent manner while proceeding from Chaudi towards Shristhal. Upon reaching opposite the Canacona Police Station, the motorcycle reportedly dashed into an ongoing cyclist.
The cyclist, Tanaji Bhatkande, a resident of Mastimol, Canacona and native of Khanapur, Belagum, fell on the road due to the impact and sustained injuries. The rider of the Bullet motorcycle also suffered injuries in the accident.
Police have registered the case and further investigation is being carried out by HC 5732 Dhananjay Desai of Canacona Police Station.
