BAMBOLIM: A 19-year-old youth sustained grievous injuries after a Kadamba Transport Corporation bus allegedly hit a scooter on the service road near GMC Hospital, Bambolim.
According to a complaint lodged by Head Constable Uday Palkar of Agacaim Police Station, the accident occurred on November 17, 2025, at around 9:15 am when the Kadamba bus (GA-03-X-0292), driven by Narayan Shetkar (48), was proceeding from the Siridao side towards Goa University. While overtaking on the service road, the bus allegedly dashed into a TVS Ntorq scooter (GA-07-AJ-0671) travelling in the same direction.
The pillion rider, Yuvraj Vaddavet (19) of Khandola, suffered grievous injuries, while the rider, Ajit Pathak (21) of Carambolim, sustained minor injuries.
Agacaim Police have registered a case of rash and negligent driving. Further investigation is underway.
