PANAJI: The Goa Cabinet today approved a series of key decisions, including the implementation of a 100-point roster system for reservation of postgraduate medical seats at Goa Medical College (GMC).
Chief Minister Dr. Pramod Sawant said the Cabinet has given its approval to the government procedure for implementing the 100-point roster for reservation of PG seats for Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Other Backward Classes (OBC) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) at GMC.
In another major decision aimed at boosting tourism, the Cabinet cleared incentive schemes for inbound tour operators for the year 2026.
The Cabinet also approved the creation of one post of Deputy Captain of Ports in the Captain of Ports Department. The post will be a Group ‘A’ Gazetted position.
Additionally, approval was granted for the appointment of consultant and technical staff on a contract basis under the Directorate of Health Services for the Tuem Hospital, as part of efforts to strengthen healthcare services in the state.
