Panaji: A day after the Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant categorically mentioned that there would be no Cabinet reshuffle in the State, Minister for Waste Management Michael lobo has said the decision may have been reached post the Zilla Parishad polls result.
The BJP bagged 33 out of 49 seats in the recently conducted polls and Lobo feels that has given the CM and the party the confidence to take this decision.
“My opinion is there should be Cabinet reshuffle for better functioning and administration. But party has taken a decision and I do not want to say anything. This is my point of view. CM’s and party’s opinions are different,” Lobo told reporters here.
He said concerns raised by him or other ministers will not be heard by the Party, the Chief Minister or anybody else and hence there is no point on talking on that issue.
“I think they have taken a decision after the Zilla Parishad results,” he said.
On Friday, Chief Minister and BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanawade during their visit to Lobo’s residence for Christmas told reporters there would be no reshuffle in Cabinet.
Lobo strongly advocated change in portfolios as some ministers were not performing.
