CALANGUTE: As part of their ongoing campaign against unlawful activity along the Calangute-Candolim beach area, Calangute police arrested 24 people on Friday. Of these, five were charged with touting, eleven with causing a public disturbance, and eight with begging.
“Touts have been the focus of Calangute police’s aggressive efforts. The goal of this operation on illicit activity is to protect tourists’ interests and make sure they depart Calangute with positive memories and without any annoyance, the police stated.
