In the continuing drive against narcotic drugs, the Calangute Police arrested one Rajasthan native with drugs worth 1.2 kg worth Rs 1.2 lakhs.
Police said that the team headed by PI Nolasco Raposo comprising of PSI Rajaram Bhagkar, Head Constable Vinod Naik Police Constables Vinay Shrivastav, Dinesh Morajkar, Suresh Naik and Shasank Sakhalkar whilst patrolling apprehended accused person namely Om Prakash Thad, aged 27 years, a native of Rajasthan in the late hours of 21/09/2020 for illegal possession of 1.2 kg all worth Rs 1.2 lakh in a black coloured Activa scooter.
This was also the 12th narcotic drugs case booked at Calangute Police Station for the current year till date.
Further investigation in this case is conducted by PSI Sushant Sangodkar under the direction of PI Calangute Mr Nolasco Raposo and overall supervision of SDPO Porvorim Mr Edwin Colaco and SP North Mr Utkrisht Prasoon.
Meanwhile, Calangute Police team comprising of PI Nolasco Raposo, Head Constable Vinod Naik, Police Constables Vinay Shrivastav, Shasank Sakalkar, Suresh Naik, Dinesh Morajkar along with the Tamil Nadu Police Team apprehended today at Sinquerim one Mr Vignesh Kappivakkam who is the main accused in a murder case registered at Chunambedu Police Station of Kancheepuram District, Tamil Nadu. The said murder accused was later on taken in custody by Tamil Nadu Police for further investigations in their murder case
