PANAJI: In a major crackdown under Operation Flushout, the Crime Branch of Goa Police arrested a 21-year-old Cameroonian national with narcotics valued at over ₹15 lakh.
Acting on specific intelligence, a raid was conducted between the late hours of July 17 and the early morning of July 18, 2025, at a rented room in house number 269/P/A, Dando Siolim, Bardez.
During the raid, the accused, identified as Nambong Fred Karl, son of Onana, was found in illegal possession of a transparent polyethylene bag containing multi-coloured tablets suspected to be Ecstasy weighing 13.172 grams, and another bag containing white powder suspected to be cocaine weighing 61.787 grams.
The total value of the seized drugs is estimated at approximately ₹15.25 lakh in the international market.
The Crime Branch registered an FIR under sections 21(b) and 22(c) of the NDPS Act, 1985 at 07:52 hours on July 18, based on a complaint by PI Manguesh Valvaikar.
The accused was placed under arrest following all Supreme Court guidelines, and the Cameroonian consulate has been informed through the FRRO, Panaji.
He was produced before the JMFC, Mapusa, where police sought a four-day remand for further investigation. The case continues to be investigated by PI Manguesh Valvaikar.
