Panaji: With the elections more then a year away, the season for tie-ups and breaks amongst political factions seems to have already begun.
After the Congress observer coming down to Goa and the Goa Forward giving entry to ex BJP leaders in the party, the National Congress Party (NCP), too is looking to cash in on the anti-BJP sentiment in the State.
NCP, which is in Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government with Congress and Shiv Sena in Maharashtra has said it wants to tie-up with the regional parties in the State for 2022 polls.
NCP Goa desk incharge Praful Patel, addressing a press conference said that the party will tie-up with non-Congress, non-BJP parties.
“Our aim is to go on our own but we can think over alliance with regional parties, who can defeat BJP. We can work with such like-minded people,” he said.
“I am sure, the NCP along with like-minded parties, without Congress or BJP, will be in a position to build trust of the people of Goa,” said Patel.
