Canacona: Canacona BJP has come out to strongly condemn the ‘BJP’s Puppet’ remark of Fatorda MLA and GFP supremo Vijay Sardessai against the Speaker and Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar as undemocratic and insulting.
Addressing press conference , Canacona BJP mandal President Prabhakar Gaonkar, General Secretary Diwakar Pagi in a hard hitting reaction to the disparaging remark of Vijay Sardessai that GLA Speaker and Canacona MLA is BJP Party’s puppet (Bhavlem) said the Hon’ble Fatorda MLA has no business to insult our H’ble and 4-times MLA Ramesh Tawadkar attributing him with unparliamentary and undemocratic words, and thus to insult our experienced and hard working MLA, occupying the constitutional post of Speaker’.
Khotigao sarpanch Khotigao Vrunda Velip said,’use of such words on our MLA who is from our community, holding the respectable post of Speaker is not acceptable to us. We strongly condemn this behaviour of Fatorda MLA Vijay Sardesai’.
Shristhal sarpanch Sejal Gaonkar said, ‘the unparliamentary and insulting word used by Fatorda MLA is not acceptable to us, and we request the ST people of Fatorda to show Sardessai the true value of ST community in next elections.
Interestingly, BJP mandal president Gaonkar said, informed, ‘our MLA and GLA Speaker Ramesh Tawadkar was very much present at his house in Adarsgram playing responsible host to his friend and Keral Governor Rajendra Arlekar till 12.30 when the meeting of the party legislators held in Panjim, and it’s anybody’s guess, that it takes 2 hours to reach Panjim, so our MLA and GLA Speaker reached the hotel for lunch. So no question of attending the party MLAs and ministers assembly strategy meeting’.
ST morcha leader Ganesh Gaonkar said, Thiusis the third time, Fatorda MLA is insulting our respected MLA from our ST community without any need to do so. If this habit of Sardessai continues then Canconcars will have to collectively take a decision and also request ST community from Fatorda on whose strength Sardessai is getting elected to show the true strength of ST community’.
