CANACONA: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Canacona Mandal convened a preparatory meeting at the Shristhal Panchayat Hall on Thursday to plan activities for the party’s upcoming Foundation Day celebrations.
The meeting was attended and addressed by Minister for Sports & Youth Affairs, Art & Culture and Tribal Welfare, and Canacona MLA Ramesh Tawadkar. He guided mandal office-bearers on the planning and conduct of programmes, outlining key do’s and don’ts while organising the Foundation Day and Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar Jayanti events in the constituency.
Discussions focused on ensuring coordinated efforts, active participation and smooth execution of all scheduled programmes across Canacona. Emphasis was laid on strengthening booth-level involvement and mobilising party workers for the twin occasions.
The meeting was held in the presence of ZP (Poinguinim) member Ajit alias Ajay Lolienkar, Canacona BJP Mandal President Prabhakar Gaonkar, South Goa BJP Vice-President Mahesh Naik, BJP Canacona Mandal General Secretaries Divakar Pagi and Sanjeev Tilve, along with booth presidents, Shakti Kendra pramukhs, morcha office-bearers and party karyakartas.
